Terms and conditions

This is a personal website: a portfolio, a CV and a list of academic work. It sells nothing, it has no accounts to register for, and it asks nothing of you beyond reading. These terms are short because there is little to agree about.

Using the site

You are welcome to read anything here, link to it, quote it with attribution, and cite the academic work in the normal way. You do not need my permission for any of that.

Please do not attempt to break into the site, overload it, scrape it aggressively enough to affect other visitors, or use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages. The contact form is rate limited and protected against automated abuse; the limits exist to keep the inbox usable, not to keep you out.

Who owns what is here

The text, the design and the photographs are mine unless stated otherwise on the page itself. The software projects described here are covered by whatever licence each repository carries. The description on this site does not grant you a licence to the code; the licence in the repository does.

Academic publications remain subject to the rights of their publishers and of my co-authors. Where a paper is listed, the link points at the publisher's copy or at a DOI; that is the version to cite, and the publisher's terms govern it.

Names and logos of the organisations mentioned here (employers, universities, conferences) belong to them. They appear because they are part of a factual account of where I have worked and studied, not as an endorsement of this site by any of them.

If you want to reuse something more substantially than a quotation, ask me. The answer is usually yes.

How accurate this is

I keep this site current, but it is a personal site maintained in my own time. Dates, technology lists and project descriptions may lag behind reality, and a link to somebody else's site may rot without my noticing. Nothing here is a professional recommendation or advice you should rely on to make a decision. If something matters to you, write to me and I will confirm it.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. I do not control them and I am not responsible for what they contain.

Availability

The site may be unavailable at times for maintenance, or permanently, without notice. It is a personal site and carries no uptime promise.

Your data

What the site collects, why, and how long it is kept is described in the privacy policy. If you send me a message, you are agreeing to that page as it stands when you send it.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country. Disputes fall to the competent courts of Bucharest, Romania, though I would much rather you emailed me first.

These terms may change when the site does. The date below records the last change, and it is the only record there is.
