Summary:

     The project involves the creation of a web platform for managing information from a hospital. The application contains a database created with the database management system MariaDB database and an interface to it. PHP technology was used to create the interface using the Symfony framework. 

Description:

     The database is composed of the tables Doctor, Patient, Medicine and the consultation connection table necessary to make the M:N:P association between the other tables. Between Doctor and Patient the cardinality ratio is M:N. The interface allows the user to perform the operations of viewing, adding, deleting and modifying, and Viewing linked tables allows you to view referenced data from other tables.

     Objectives:

  • Making a database properly, taking into account the needs users.
  • Development of an interface for the database to ensure that the user has the right to perform various actions and that the actions performed do not lead to a incorrect operation of the application or loss or alteration of data.
  • Requesting confirmations from the user and informing them accordingly the user on the actions they are trying to take.
  • Implementation of multiple levels of security for the application.

     The application has a four-level security system (public, doctor, patient, administrator) and an authentication and password reset system.
The interface is responsive, adapting to any screen. The user is also guided in the application by information messages and asked for confirmations for the actions he wants to perform.
