Hospital data management platform
Web platform for managing hospital records (doctors, patients, medicines and consultations) on a relational core, with a Symfony interface over MariaDB.
A web platform for hospital records, built on a relational core: Doctor, Patient and Medicine tables, plus a consultation table that carries the M:N:P association between them. Doctor and Patient are related M:N.
The interface covers viewing, adding, editing and deleting, and follows references across linked tables so related records can be read in place.
What the project set out to do:
- Design the database around what its users actually need.
- Build an interface that grants the right actions to the right people, and where no action can corrupt or lose data.
- Ask for confirmation before destructive steps and explain what is about to happen.
- Implement several levels of access.
Access is split across four levels (public, doctor, patient, administrator), with authentication and password reset. The layout is responsive, and the user is guided through the application with messages and confirmations.
