Automatic detection and recognition of pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles in urban footage, behind an interface that handles both images and video.
An interface for an automatic detection system that finds pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles in urban footage. The user picks an image or a video and sees the detection results.
The interface was designed so that only actions leading to correct behaviour are available at all. Destructive steps ask for confirmation, and the application says clearly when something is used incorrectly or when a problem occurs in the flow.
What the project set out to do:
- Build a working interface for a detection and recognition system for road users.
- Keep it modern, intuitive and readable.
- Implement the automatic detection itself.
- Respect the usual interface principles: feedback, user control, contrast, repetition, proximity, predictable behaviour, uninterrupted operation.
